The Captivate Hub Teams Apps requires Global Administrator permission to install and it will not work on Personal versions (

If you are on the last step of creating the Hub (Figure 1.0), please follow the instruction below and do not close the page. If you haven't set up your Hub, please go to Get Started.

App Installation

  • Open Microsoft Teams and select "Apps" on the bottom left of the screen. In the "Apps" window, search for "Captivate Chat" and click on the Teams application. After clicking on the Teams application, a pop-up will appear asking you to add the Teams application. Click on "Add", and you will be redirected to the chat page (refer to Figure 1.2).

  • You will be redirected to Captivate Chat application. Read the adaptive card and review our privacy policy and permissions required. If you agree, click "I Agree". Another window will appear asking for admin consent. Click "Admin Consent", and a new window will pop up requesting permission from your tenant. Click "Accept". You will see a message saying "Permission granted! You may now use The Captivate Hub Application." Close the window and proceed to the next step (refer to Figure 1.3 or the video).


  • In the Captivate Chat messages, you will see a message that says "Permission granted! You may now start using the Application." In the same message thread, click on "Sign In". If you are already registered on the website via Teams SSO (refer to Figure 1.4), you will be automatically signed in. Otherwise, you will be prompted to register your account (refer to Figure 1.5).

Linking Hub

We recommend you to create a Hub first to the Captivate Chat web. before going to this step

  • In the Captivate Chat messages, click the "Link" button or type "Link" to display the available hub options to link to your Teams. After selecting your desired hub, it will automatically create a Teams group based on the hub's name. You can rename the Teams group to your liking and add members who will be agents in the Teams group (refer to Figure 1.6).


For the auto-assign feature, please add as a guest (Add Guest Account to Microsoft Teams) (Figure 1.7 / Video) to the created Teams group, email us at to manually accept your invitation. (Figure 1.8 / Image) is not added to your Teams group the Teams installation will not work!

Congratulations, you have now connected your Hub to Microsoft Teams! you can test the connection now by talking to your channel and escalating the chat to the agent.
